From a rare species of Swiss Apples called Uttwiler Spätlauber, is a variety of a Swiss apple that derives from a seeding planted in the middle of th 18th century.
It was famous for its tremendous storability without shrinking: due to longevity of the cells.
Today this is a very rare and endangered apple variety with.
Only a few trees left in the world.
Utwiler Spatlauber apples are rich in phytonutrients, proteins and long-living cells. They must have especially long-living tissue stem cells. Their particular composition leads to incredible storability and longevity properties.
Longevity is related to specific cells called stem cells which have a unique growth characteristics.

Results showed the CFE was increased by 92% in the presence of 0.04% of the Malus Domestica stem cell extract. This clearly shows that Malus Domestica stem cell extract helps the epidermal stem cells to maintain their stem cell characteristics

Number of active and healthy stem cells is increased compared to untreated cultures

At a concentration of 0.2% Malus Domestica stem cell culture extract slightly but clearly postponed senescence induced necrosis. Follicles kept in the presence of the extract continued to elongate until day 18, wheras the control follicles started to shrink after day 14.
Malus Domestica stem cell culture extract showed down hair follicle regression by 50% compared to the control.
